For the use in WHOIS, it is recommended for legal persons to create a designated email that does not contain employee’s name and surname.
The data not specified in this Policy are not public and are used solely for conclusion and performance of the agreement. These data can be obtained by third party in cases provided by law. Request should be made in writing and be pursuant to enactments of the Republic of Latvia.
In order to contact the domain name holder who is a natural person, it is possible to use WHOIS communication form.
WHOIS data are renewed 4 times per 24 hours.
In order to prevent data mining, the limit of queries per IP address is introduced.
Advanced search is not available, and it is not possible to query by holder’s name, email, address, phone or fax.
NIC.LV has taken the following measures:
Before the query of the WHOIS, the user must read and agree to the Terms of Use of the WHOIS;
In the web WHOIS, each query shall be assigned an automatically generated random code that requestor has to type in before the display of output appears.
By submitting a WHOIS request, the requestor agrees that:
The WHOIS service is provided solely for information purposes;
It is permitted to use the WHOIS service only for technical or administrative needs associated with the operation of the Internet or in order to contact the domain name holder over legal problems;
Requestor will not use information obtained using WHOIS:
to allow, enable or in any other way support sending of unsolicited mails (spam);
for any kind of advertising;
to disrupt stability and security of the Internet.
It is not permitted to obtain (including copying) or re-use in any form or by any means all or quantitatively or qualitatively significant part of the WHOIS without NIC.LV’s express permission.
